Water Investigations

This term the Junior Team have been investigating water.  We made models to show where water comes from and where it is used in different settings, such as the city and on farms and we even investigated how water is collected and used in Tanzania.  We were interested to find out how much more difficult it was to get water for people in Tanzania than for us.

We have also been learning about the water cycle.  We made terrariums to see if we could replicate the process and see the evaportation, condensation and precipitation.

After making our observations we drew diagrams to show what we found out.

Tamara explained that the heat from the sun causes the water to evaporate and then condensation forms.  When it cools the water drops become precipitation.
